WAKING UP THIS MORNING, FLESH WANTED ME TO FEEL SAD.

BUT THEN THE SPIRIT SHOWED ME, WHY I SHOULD BE GLAD.

I’LL THINK ABOUT ALL THE GOOD TIMES WE HAD.

INSTEAD OF ALL THE MEMORIES THAT WANT TO MAKE ME FEEL SAD.

FLESH SAID FOCUS ON THE SADNESS MOTHER’S DAY WOULD BRING.

INSTEAD THE SPIRIT WOKE ME UP, WITH A SONG IN MY HEART TO SING.

I’LL THINK ABOUT THE DAYS, WHEN VISITING HER WERE LOTS OF FUN,

NOW, JUST THINK ABOUT THE SPIRIT AND THE WORK YOU HAVE DONE

THE THOUGHT WAS LEAVE HER ALONE, THERE IS NO HOPE.

BUT THE SPIRIT PUSHED OUT THAT THOUGHT, AND SAID, NOPE, NOPE, NOPE!!!

YOU NEED TO PAY MORE ATTENTION TO GOD’S RAIN SHOWERS.

DON’T YOU SEE, HE’S WATERS, ALL OF HIS FLOWERS.

I’LL THINK ABOUT HOW GOD KEPT POURING HIS SPIRIT IN ME.

SO THAT I WOULD BE ABLE, TO HELP SET THAT SOUL FREE.

MY WORK HELPED ONE TO MAKE INTO HEAVEN YOU SEE.

NOW THAT’S A MEMORY THAT BRINGS JOY TO ME!

I’LL LET FLESH KNOW GOD IS NOT TO BE PLAYED WITH, HE’S NOT A TOY

BECAUSE HE HAS ALREADY PUT IT BEFORE ME, TO REMEMBER THE JOY!

IF I FOCUS ON THE TWO STANDING ON THE LEFT, I’LL BE SAD

BUT I KNOW, IF I STAND WITH THE TWO ON THE RIGHT, I’LL BE GLAD

GOD AND THE SPIRIT WILL ALWAYS BE ON THE RIGHT.

THEY’RE THERE TO LET ME SEE, MY MOTHER IS ALWAYS IN MY SIGHT.
