With everything that is going on in the world, it is understandable why mental health in some people may be on the edge. People have lost their jobs, their houses and doesn’t know where their next meal will be coming from. Mentally they are drained and depression starts to kick in where the lack of energy seeps in. How is your mental health during the pandemic? Even if your business or house isn’t affected at all with Covid-19, your mental health still should be important and doing a check-in weekly to see how you are doing is a great idea.
Even though a lot of people say that they are fine, in reality most aren’t fine! They are walking around, going to work, going to sleep with a load on their brain and some don’t even digest what’s going on or the feelings that they are having. How are you expressing how you feel? Here are some ways that one can express their feelings without carrying everything on their shoulders:
- Meditate for at least 10 minutes. Close your eyes, take deep breaths can help you to unwind those negative thoughts or unquestionable thoughts you are experiencing.
- Writing your thoughts down in a journal. If you can’t verbally express yourself the way that you would like to, try writing them down. Become true and honest with how you may be feeling.
- Call someone. We all should have at least ONE person that we can call when we need someone to vent to or talk to. It’s not healthy to keep things bottled in.
Whatever method you choose to take, make sure you make it a habit and stick to it. You will start to feel better in the end.
