Congratulations are in order for Ruth E. Carter. She just made history just in time for Black History Month!
The Oscar-winning costume designer became the first Black designer to receive a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Eddie Murphy and Oprah Winfrey were guest speakers at the ceremony on February 25th. She received the 2,694th star in the category of Motion Pictures.
