Janet Jackson has a documentary coming out that will air on Lifetime and A&E to celebrate the 40th anniversary of her first album. Lifetime and A&E ordered a two-night four-hour documentary called “JANET” after her first album ‘Janet Jackson’ that was released in 1982 when Jackson was only 16 years old. The documentary is co-produced by Workerbee and Associated Entertainment Corporation.
The documentary will have access to the Rock n Roll of Famer’s life and an intimate, honest and unfiltered look at the untold story in Janet’s music history. The documentary will also follow Jackson as her family is going through the loss of her father Joseph Jackson who passed away in 2018. “JANET” will also include most-talked about moments of her life including her 2004 Superbowl appearance with Justin Timberlake. It will also explore Jackson’s reaction to the loss of her brother Michael Jackosn and the process of becoming a mother.
“JANET” is planning to debut in early 2022 on Lifetime and A&E.
